Empty Signals by Paranautica

Over a quiet, foggy shore an otherworldly vessel descends from the sky and comes to rest, overlooking a small town below. What follows are frantic efforts by the human race to uncover its purpose. When all attempts to communicate with the visitor fail, it becomes an omen for all of humanity’s hopes and fears, silently tugging at the world’s seams until they burst.
All the while, it waits, hollow and unmoved.

Paranautica is an ambient music project by human being Jess Thorsen.

My aim is to tell as many stories of fictional places as I can.

I make sounds using a combination of field recordings, synthesisers, and acoustic instruments all recorded in my "home studio."

I'm also a digital collagist, and make all the art you see here.

I do not use generative AI tools in any aspect of my work.
