Lyrics
I lived in the sea,
And it rushed all around me,
But you never knew I never sunk,
Awake on your own top bunk.
I lived on the coast,
And I loved it the very most,
But I could never sleep that near,
To the boats docking at the pier.
I'm living very close,
In an old house that you might know,
The name of it is Sunlit Fold,
And it's a beauty to behold.
If you saw me the way that I used to be,
You'd stop and say you never thought it was me,
But now I'm the way that I am currently,
I'd have to say I've never felt so free.
I'm very hard to find.
'Cause I rarely walk down the street,
But if you look outside your door,
You might see my blue bed sheet.
My closets never shut,
And I always feel like it's dark,
Because I've never seen the sun,
Come away from that central park.
Splitting my view are shades,
Of a blue and an orange tint,
Because whenever I start to fade,
My couches gather up lint.
When I've finally moved on,
The place may attract acorns,
Because I used to wake at dawn,
And I'd start off my early morns.
If someone from way back, from the old times,
Saw me sitting here,
I'd say, "OK, I'm fine with God's design",
And let them disappear,
And even though I have to dust my shelf,
I rather like my life of peace,
Regardless of the times just to myself,
I rather like this life at ease.
