"Balcony blues" started early in the pandemic. My wife and I had just moved into a tiny apartment, high up in a tower on the edge of Parkdale, in Toronto. She was working from home. I was doing virtual physio to recover from a concussion. Fast forward to today and I've worked out a new arrangement, and another concussion. I thought I'd try and get the new arrangement recorded as a way to stave off the boredom and frustration with the slowness of my recovery. I had to break the song down into small, manageable pieces so as not to overly stress my concussed brain, but I got here in the end. There are a couple warts left in the final product, mostly out of a sense of faithfulness to the circumstances, but I'm still really pleased with what I was able to accomplish. I hope you like it too.
