UnLocked by People's Music Collective

UnLocked is a living record of how the PMC came together in the online ether, determined to thrive creatively in the face of multiple lockdowns. Recorded entirely online, via smartphone recordings, this album is a sung time-capsule of hope, camaraderie and far away connectedness.

The results? An emotive, musical response to lockdown life, channelling surreal inner meditations as well as outward frustrations and ultimately finding rays of hope on the horizon.

The Covid-19 lockdowns have raised public awareness of the fragility of mental health when faced with loneliness, social isolation and grief. Through UnLocked, the PMC share a creative message of empathy, resilience and ultimately hope which draws from their own lived experience and celebrates community voices.

The creation of UnLocked was supported by Worthing Community Chest, The National Lottery Community Fund, Arts Council England, Sussex Community Foundation, and Baring Foundation.

All profits go towards Soundcastle music and mental health programmes.
