Slow Down by Perera Elsewhere

part of the Adult Swim Singles Program and now out WORLDWIDE for the world to hear :) I recorded the vocals in the intimacy of my apartment rather than in my studio, sometimes if makes me feel extra creative just to work from my house, especially in in winter! I used a pitch-shifting loop of a recording of an Ahoka (west African percussion) that I recorded in Abidjan. This contrast to the winter vibes of Berlin is what keeps me motivated in some ways. It just takes the resonance of a room in Abidjan and combines it with sonic characteristics of stuff recorded in my house in berlin. .... it this paradox and hybrid culture that keeps me inspired. It could have been a sample, but it aint. And the story of the sound behind it is actually important to me as a form of spirituality. Ableton's Labyrinth is the main synth that I have used on here and i actually love the sound.
