Blank Page from Infinite Singles by Peter Bosman ft. Heather Barber

On July 11, 2018, my father passed away after battling cancer multiple times and the aftermath of the treatments for a decade. Even with everything that was going on with him, his passing was still unexpected, leaving me and my family behind in great disbelief, pain, and sadness. My father was always a great supporter and inspiration when it came to my work as a computer scientist, but especially in later life, he increasingly acknowledged how much he loved my music, too. I therefore simply had to honor his memory with at least one song.

Today, July 11, 2019, exactly one year after his passing, I'm releasing this song, "Blank Page". I wrote the lyrics a few weeks after his passing, describing how unbelievable it is that there are now only blank pages left in the story of his life and how dearly I miss him.

I was extremely fortunate to have struck up a great new friendship with Heather Barber, an incredibly talented singer from Australia, who I could meet up with later in 2018 when I was visiting Australia and record this song together. She understood exactly what it is that I was looking for in a vocal performance, understanding pain and loss herself very well, ensuring that this song became exactly the emotional power ballad that I had hoped it would be.

And so, this is "Blank Page"... My way of saying "I miss you, dad, every day"...

Peter Bosman was born in The Netherlands on Christmas day, 1975. Music has been an integral part of his life since he first picked up a keyboard at the age of 11. The desire to bring his visions for music to life on his own accord, he built his own studio where he produces songs of all styles and types, both instrumental (orchestral and synthesizer) and pop (with vocalists from around the world).
