Written in 1784 by Jeanne-Paul-Egide Martini from a poem by Jeanne-Pierre Claris De Florian. Very popular in its time and still performed today and the sentiment of the lyrics is as true today as it was then:
“The joys of love are but a moment long.
The pain of love endures the whole life long”.

Peter is a Canadian songwriter/composer, who has been writing songs since the late 60s.  His output is diverse revealing many influences - contemporary folk, musical theatre, chanson, the music of Brazil, jazz, classical & film music…

Peter now devotes most of his waking hours to writing, arranging and orchestrating music.
