Having just played a gig and inspired by the piano playing of my friend “Maxine Gilford,” I dreamt this song. Pete doubles the baritone sax part and plays an army of flutes on this bluesy number. The tune really comes alive with Steve Schwelling on drums.

Scott McIntosh is a Grammy winning composer, arranger and saxophonist based in Austin, Texas. Pete Gemmell is a Juno winning recording engineer and multi-instrumentals based in Ottawa, Ontario. They both grew up playing saxophone in Montreal and have remained fast friends. Their first record, “Josephine Mary” was released in 2019. Their second album “Up and Down” is now available.
