Lyrics

I find myself walking down St Anne’s road in Winnipeg, Manitoba heading South, away from downtown.
It is quite late, but the street is still busy. People walk on the sidewalk; cars drive in both directions on the street and several businesses are still open.
As I walk, I notice an enormous airship in the sky. It looks like the Hindenburg but instead of having the crew and passenger compartment directly at the bottom it is suspended from above and attached at the bottom to another identical airship.
This massive double airship seems to be in trouble as it flies towards downtown. It careens to one side and then disappears behind a building.
I hear a distant rumble as if the ship has crashed somewhere out of view.
Seconds later one half of the airship, free of its mate and passenger compartment, comes back up into view and rapidly heads in my direction. Its flight is distressed, and it appears to be about to crash again.
Sure enough, it crashes down and comes to rest on the roof of a three-story apartment building on the opposite side of the street from where I stand.
It does not explode, but I fear it will, so I duck into the nearest open business.
I find myself inside an adult book and video store. It is quite busy inside with several patrons examining books, videos, and adult toys. They are all well dressed and appear as upstanding citizens.
“Hi Justin, welcome back,” says a beautiful topless stranger as she puts an arm over my shoulder in a friendly gesture of greeting. One breast brushes my arm as she does so. Her familiarity coupled with her toplessness makes me uncomfortable.
I take a step away.
“Did you see that?” I ask, pointing in the direction of the wide front windows towards the airship which could be seen burning on the roof of the building it had crashed onto only moments before.
“Oh sure, that kind of thing happens all the time. It’s really no big deal,” she says dispassionately. “Hey, we got some new books in I think you’re really going to like,” she says with an eager expression on her face.
“Another time,” I say and purposefully readjust the heavy duffel bag I am carrying. “I need to get this stuff home.”
Feeling satisfied I am not about to be blown to bits by the downed airship, I walk back out the door and continue down the street.
