SCANNERS by Lorenzo Brilli
Scanners is the exploration and research for sounds-noises that want to evoke memories and stories.
4 empty rooms that are crossed by organic and synthetic sounds, mixed and transformed into different soundscapes.
• loom is part of a solo dance performance dedicated to the memory of Giuditta Brozzetti. All the sounds were sampled and recorded at the Giuditta Brozzetti Museum Workshop - one of the last surviving workshops in Italy where it is possibile to see original working looms from the 18th and 19th centuries.
• dauer is inspired by the poem "Gedicht an die Dauer" by Peter Handke.
"and could, there, describe the feeling of duration / as an event of attending to, / an event of contemplation, / an event of being embraced, / an event of being caught up, / by what?, by an additional sun / by a refreshing wind / by a silent delicate chord / moderating and uniting all dissonances"
