Circular Falls by Poppy H

A dusty old lap harp has played bit parts across a handful of Poppy H’s previous releases but here the simple stringed instrument takes centre stage, following a single afternoon of expressive improvisation and composition. The ancient harp guided H into hypnotic states, old ways, new territories, endless possibilities and, ultimately and arguably, to his most human record to date. Together, the artist and instrument explored the increasingly rare pleasures of time and space – how to recognise them, accept them, expand upon them and become one within them.
