Dead Ends from Chaotic Order by PROTAL

I find myself entranced again with ground on which I’ve often stepped In my never ending search for places where I can rest Settled in long-awaited dead ends

A weariness with less in common with sleep than with death Will keep me close, always, to where I wish that I had left

I’ll walk the length of any life to wake up from this dream In which I’ve laid myself so far from my reality

The abyss comes into view again as the Earth opens its jaws Always prepared to consume the weak and the lost I’m reacquainted with the fear I’ve often caused In my never-ending search for heights from which I’ll fall

It seems a long way down from here from what I can recall

I’ll be waiting for the day it all comes down And I’ll be hated for the comfort that I’ve found Accepting my place deep within the sacred grounds That now consume the world at large to which I’m bound
