"Proto Evangelion" in Greek means "First Gospel". It is a term used to describe this verse in the Bible: "I will put enmity between your seed and her seed; you shall strike his heel, but He shall crush your head" (Genesis 3:15).
This was spoken by God at the dawn of time. What we see is that, even at the beginning, God planned on crushing the Enemy, and the effect of sin on the world.
