All the old feelings
Are gone away
Left me here, alone
Another day
I can barely remember
What it all used to be like
Now, I’m living alone
In this world of strife
All the old places
Have flooded or burned down
All my old haunts
Buried in the ground
All those familiar faces
I ain’t seen in many years
Headin’ for a future
Filled with darkness and fear

But it’s alright
And it’s okay
I’m looking at the horizon
A brand new day
Yes it’s alright
It’ll all be okay
As long as you’re by my side another day

I think about the old house
All the time
The hours that I spent there, in my youth
It’s become some distant Eden
That exists just in my mind
I’ll never once again walk those fields of truth

But it’s alright
It’s okay
I will just learn to live
Another day
The smell of autumn smoke
And the waves lappin’ the shore
In the summers and the autumns
Of a life I adore
