This song is mainly about how capitalism fosters inauthentic development of individuals and social structures. The lack of authenticity this sort economical system end up fostering -and by extension- creating some sort of "theater". We become "actors" and get disconnect from one another and the real world with our real issues (and needs) like climate change, social and economical inequalities.
