Comet by Raging Chimera
What seems like many moons ago we recorded an EP over one weekend at BOXO Studio, in Hamilton Ontario. Engineered by Gary Greenland, produced by Kevin Barber, Gary Greenland and Raging Chimera.
This is an important "moment in time" EP for the band that unfortunately got a little lost in the flow of life. Sickness, death, grief, more sickness, recovery, a pandemic and lazy artists, all got in the way of us having a proper release for this EP. As we are already working on new material with a fuller sound it is time to release this stripped down intro to Raging Chimera.
This was us after months of rehearsing and woodshedding, kicking open the doors of possibility and saying "We are here!" It is stripped down and unpretentious. It was recorded on a glorious spring weekend, in comfortable digs, with inspiring people and it lives as testament to a time and place.
Recorded live off the floor with minimal overdubs: the vocals, a couple extra rhythm guitar tracks and solos, (except Rebel Girl, only vocals were dubbed on that one).
