Tape Drift is thrilled to finally be able to release something from Edinburgh/Leith solo project ckdh (AKA Rhian Thompson). Rhian is half of the legendary Hockyfrilla (along with Dora Doll) and a long-time figure in the UK noise underground. Here we get an intense but sharply focused collection of sine waves, oscillations, electronic crackle, and field recordings. Two long tracks that invite us to an alien planet where isolation, strange beauty, and austere sonic landscapes are ever-present. It’s a fascinating and deeply compelling listen and the work of a true master.
