Johnny's Dead from Out by Anthony Moore

Moore and Slapp Happy co-conspirator Peter Blegvad concoct a 'death disc' a la “Tell Laura I Love Her,” reaching back to the teenage pop era for a feel that incipient punk and new-wave kids would also lovingly appropriate. Soaring sax and synth and additional vocals from Amanda Parsons (Hatfield and the North) and a boy’s choir complete the fantasy.
