Blue Perfidia by Répéter

On «Blue Perfidia», Répéter leaves behind the hot desert heat of «Bad Twang» and further refines his recipe of moody tremolo guitar licks, complex man/machine percussion patterns and a weighty dub-inspired bass foundation. While the surf guitar still sets the tone, it is augmented by collaborator Finna's trumpet, log drums, prepared turntables and defunct effect devices, providing a dangerous tropical escapist theme. From the urgency of «Your Ship Will Go Down» to the terrifying finale of Nippon-inspired «Drinking The Kool-Aid», there’s a narrative unfolding, where darkness will descend upon the jungle coastline.
