Woodland Hymns by Revelation

A blackened folk album that combines my love for metal and southern gothic music. Has elements of black metal, folk, blues, and country. Making this thing has been my recent passion project that I've worked on pretty much nonstop; so it's very gratifying to have completed it. Every song on the album tells a story in some way, whether it's narrated or suggested. My personal favorite tracks are Raphael Abandoned and Belial's Hymn, so definitely check those out. If you like slower, tamer, moodier music then check out The Gas Station and Ghost Story. The West Virginian and She Took It All utilize musical layering in a way that builds up to abrasive climaxes. Liquor Store Blues was my first foray into blues riffing and utilizes both acoustic and electric guitar. Exorcism (Psalm 91) was an experiment in structuring a narrative around a Psalm rather than a spelled out story.
