Latin music direct from Denmark courtesy of drummer John Steffensen who donned the sombrero and alias Al Stefano for a string of releases in the late 50s and early 60s. Smooth and Bachler pad bound, Al/John is flute friendly and drops in some pounding rhythms on ‘Lecuona Melodias’. It’s light and fluffy stuff until the closer ‘Chomborrumba’, an upbeat hip shaker of some style and panache.

Record digging in an imaginary warehouse on Mars (there is water there!).
