Ten years ago when I (at the ripe age of 12) walked into the first old-time jam session of my life, a banjo player immediately turned towards me and said, "Welcome to the old-time jam!" I feel this embodies something wonderful about the welcoming nature of old-time music, and as I have grown up in that world, I have felt nurtured and guided by it. Old-time music has taken me to where I am today, and I want the tunes on this album to pay homage to that.

I was fortunate to have Rachel Eddy, Hunter Walker, and Alex Lacquement join me on this album. I am also extremely grateful to Rachel Eddy for producing the album, and for allowing us to take over her apartment for the recording session! In addition, Chris Murphy was an amazing recording engineer to work with and I happily recommend him to anyone wanting to record an album in the Mid-Atlantic region. Thanks as well to Autumn Rose Lester, who is not just an enjoyable jam partner but also a talented graphic designer.
