The music of “Haunted House” was conceived as a live performance, and some ideas were inevitably forfeited when it became an audio recording. However, here are a few recommendations for enjoying "Haunted House" in the comfort of your own home. Or, invent your own!
- Listen on loud speakers together with one or three of your friends (not two or four!)
- Listen on headphones under your covers with the lights out, either around dusk, or way past your bedtime
- Smoke pot and listen twice in a row
- Listen at a comfortable volume while looking at yourself in the mirror. Wear clothes that make you feel like yourself!
- Listen just before dinner. Cook something warm that you love, eat alone and don’t look at your phone
