Waiting, oh, waiting, last train of the night
Hear a bell ring, see the light
Whole car to myself, all aboard, just me
Close my eyes for a minute, fall asleep
I wake up when I feel someone's hand on my arm
Whisper telling me, "Don't be alarmed"

Close in on a station and I pull the cord
Stop requested but you guessed it, I'm ignore
The train hurtled on forward into the night
Better tell the conductor, something's not right
When I get to the front, empty seat's dusty
Who's driving this thing? Somebody must be!
"You're going insane," the voices pound in my brain,
"Please move to the back of the train!
