Demodulations by Roland Kayn

Demodulation: the extraction of information from a carrier waveform. Here, as ever in Kayn’s late works, the past is decoded: his own. Trawling the tape archives of his years in the studio, in ‘Demodulations’ Kayn brings yet another way of addressing these extracted, convolved fragments to the fore. The listener is once again reminded that recollections are living entities, never to be set in stone.
