Remake B by Roland Kayn

The second in a pair of twin works from 2002, ‘Remake B’ gives the listener further opportunity to decode abstract views glimpsed only momentarily elsewhere. Here, elegiac blocks of echo-laden sound are deployed like land masses, giving a sense of oceanic, if not galactic vastness. As is so often the case in Kayn’s music, the landscape may be familiar, but the journey is unique.
