John Ratcliffe by Root Girl

This carnivorous plant, sometimes called the cobra lily, lives in nutrient-poor bogs and fields in Oregon and California and supplements its needs by consuming insects after confusing them with its leaf shapes and patterns. It is able to survive fire by wholly regrowing from its large, complicated root system.
