14 Lines by Rusty Sheriff

This is an album made in 10 days. Don't let that put you off, sometimes it's just better to get things done and move on.

Instead let the sounds put you off.

"14 lines" is a series of dreams and hallucinations that were put to tape in single takes during the days from 2/12/21 to 11/12/21. All were recorded in bed, sick. Each track was crafted from modular synths, a sampler and multi effects pedal and recorded in a single take. In the later days the vocals were done in the same fashion - in bed.

"14 Lines" is dark. It is very real, very unnerving, abstract and with a menace without resorting to just noise or beats (in my usual case!).
The vocals are a first for a Sheriff recording, most were put together on the spot, using lines of narrative cut and arranged by hand with sellotape and a notebook. A couple were originally written for other bands (Flybums/Protein Window) and are stories in their own right.
