Voo Livre by Salma e Mac
Salma and Mac’s first major release, produced by renowned music producer Alexandre Kassin, “Voo Livre” (hang gliding) features a sensual acoustic pop inspired by MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) and Bossa Nova.
Smooth and tropical, the eight tracks album glides over romantic and hedonistic themes, with arrangements of acoustic guitar, percussions, violin, acoustic bass, banjo, mandolin and piano. All songs are composed by the duo.
“I was impressed with the quality of the songs and their sensuality,” says Kassin, the renowned musical producer of Caetano Veloso and others. "The lyrics are very interesting and intelligent, the subjects are addressed subtly and lightly. Salma's point of femininity and sensuality is very well placed, this is evident on the record all the time", he says.
In addition to the singles Marquinha and Sobremesa, the album also features the unreleased “Gringa”, “Na Pele”, “Capacho” and the homonymous “Voo Livre”, and versions of “Cetapensano” and “Hater”, songs previously released with Carne Doce.
