ANTENNA by Otomizo Records / Sappow
I have expressed the fun of an instrument called a synthesizer in dance music such as techno, but I think that there are still many ways to express it, and I recently renewed my interest in playing a guitar as an instrument that has an impact. This album "ANTENNA" was created by searching for the possibility of making interesting music by mixing the guitar and synth. Also, since this work was produced on the premise of playing live, the structure of the instrument is extremely simple. I've done overdubbing a few times because it's a recording, but I think it's a work that I can listen to over and over again. I made the sound space very carefully. I think it will be more wild and primitive in live.
I've introduced various types of beats, including four beats, and I like music that has a slightly jazz atmosphere, ambient-based music, techno-like phrasing, experimental music, etc. I am greedily packed as much as possible. I thought it was very interesting that the result was the result of accumulating songs with a limited number of musical instruments and accumulating them rather than consciously packing them.
I would also like to thank monthaes for playing the guitar. Thank you for working with me on my outrageous idea. There were some scenes where I could see how he was suffering, but I am very grateful for the many attempts. We were recording with our guitar and synth recording at the same time, so it's an extremely improvised album, but thanks to that we were able to complete it.

シンセサイザーという楽器の面白さはテクノなどのダンス音楽などで表現してきましたが、まだまだ表現方法はたくさんあるはずだとの思いと、最近改めて気づいたインパクトのある楽器としてのギターを掛け合わせて面白い音楽が作れないかと模索して作り上げたのが本作"ANTENNA"です。また、本作はライヴ演奏することを前提に制作したので楽器の構造は極めてシンプルです。録音物なのでオーバーダビングは何度か行なっていますが、おかげでなんども繰り返して聴ける作品になったのではないかと思います。サウンドの空間もかなりこだわって作りました。ライヴではもっとワイルドでプリミティブな感じになると思います。
ビートも４つ打ちをはじめとして、色んなタイプを取り入れていますし、少しジャズっぽい雰囲気があるもの、アンビエントをベースにしたもの、テクノっぽいフレージング、エクスペリメンタルっぽいものなど好きな音楽の好きな部分を可能な限り貪欲に詰め込んでいます。意識的に詰め込んだのではなく、限られた楽器で好きに楽曲を作り、積み上げていった結果そうなっていたのが非常に面白いと思いました。
また、ギターを弾いてくれたmontahesには特別お礼を申し上げたい。私の突拍子も無いアイデアに付き合って頂きありがとうございました。楽曲によって彼が非常に苦しんでいた様子が伺える場面もありましたが何度もトライして頂き非常に感謝しています。私たちのギターとシンセの同時録音でレコーディングを進めていったので極めて即興的な部分が大きいアルバムですがおかげで完成させることができました。
