Lupine Daughter by Scout Paré-Phillips
Lupine Daughter is Scout Paré-Phillips’ third full-length solo album. It is her heaviest and darkest music to date, accompanied by her full band from New York City, as well as members of her previous band with George Cessna, The Sterling Sisters. These new songs explore themes of grief, illness, and addiction. For the first time, Scout implements her deeper chest voice to fully express this raw anguish and loss. She features the custom baritone guitar luthier, Cindy Hulej, designed specifically for this album, depicted on the cover, which helped Scout play more comfortably after health challenges.
