Zheng '21 by Kaya Project

The latest EP from Kaya Project is based on an original 6 minute Guzheng performance - reworked into Drum & Bass, Trance, Ambient, Downtempo Glitch & Bassy Versions.

The Chinese Guzheng is one of my all time favourite Instruments. I was lucky enough to acquire this magnificent Zheng about 10 years ago, although it is so big it rarely gets set up in my small studio.

I dusted it off & immediately fell into “The Zone’ while playing. The resultant live recording is the basis for this 6 track EP. Including a wonderful Drum & Bass Remix by none other than Ivan Shopov (AKA Cooh, Balkansky) as well as a Trance remix, Ambient remix, Downtempo Breaks remix, & a Hibernation Jazzy-Glitch Mix.

Also included is a Continuous DJ mix, 2 versions of DESERT CHILD* by Kaya Project & 2 versions of the Hibernation track 'WABI SABI' (Which happen to the the very first tracks I ever recorded this Zheng on)
