The cold stench of stagnation
seeps out of every hole in my face
stinging my eyes,
burning my nose,
It singes my throat.

Puncture my skull,
split me open
draining the infection
Let the life pour out of me

I find myself as the loathsome stitcher
atop my throne of entrails and bloody limbs
slack jawed and uninspired.
