"Nox Intempesta continue to plumb the depths of dark ambience with four very long-form tracks derived from manipulating the haunting tones of early vocal music — think The Hilliard Ensemble broadcasting from the darkest side of Pluto! The extreme lengths may turn off some, but for listeners who want to have some very atmospheric music playing while going about their day, while sleeping or meditating or hitting the heavy bag, whatever, this is a beautiful and strange trip. There's nothing quite so celestial as choral voices given the full ambient music treatment, and Nox Intempesta make a great contribution to the genre with this set of recordings."
