フェニックスSEAGAIA by Atlas Cries

Popular vapor artist Enraile's side project as Atlas Cries has been one of our favorites in recent years, which means we're especially excited to be hosting a new album from them. As usual, there's a level of subtle phaser work hovering over their tracks to give them that signature slush feel, while kept low enough at times for some more involved loops and effects choices to stay noticeable throughout.

Even within tracks, the levels at which these phasers appear seem to switch, allowing cuts between samples to feel like both a change of pace and scenery, swapping between the areas that Atlas Cries wishes to explore with their music. A collection of samples ranging from weather music, to slow-paced ambient, to surprisingly dance-y sections help give this work a body without making it feel bloated underneath this variety.

Despite being so broad in its scope and explorative with its sound, フェニックスSEAGAIA's runtime manages to be just enough that it feels extremely replayable, giving the listener a chance to explore it deeper each time. As always with the artist, we're pretty impressed with this new album.
