Socadian Rhythms by Shank

Soca Shank is the alternate ego of Shank, the pseudonym of a US born anonymous musical polyglot. When Shank fell in love with a Trini girl he found her Socadian rhythms too unwieldy for his unaccustomed ears to comprehend. In an effort to learn her local language he soaked in the soca stacks and bathed in bacchanalia until he felt carnival conversant enough to create a 7 song soca suite. Now Soca Shank and his Trini girl can be found on the road moving fluently each February through the streets of Port of Spain, not going home ‘til they can’t tell right from wrong.
