somebodies gone, burnt the toast again,
now I'm washing up, the plates and forks and knives,
getting drowned out, by the traffic outside

I see the eastway, a metaphor for my life,
I see rush hour both morning and night,
without leaving the house,
I'm never leaving this house

There's some guy in the kitchen, having a psychotic episode,
while i'm still in bed, cause I ain't got no job to go to,
eating beans on toast, drinking microwaved coffee,
and learning to be on my own,
reaching for nothing here at all,
