I started this project in 2015, when I took a two month trip to India. Landing in the most southerly state Kerala and gradually meandering my way up to the north town of Rishikesh
Of course, being an audio addict I couldn't not bring a microphone with me.
With open ears I set about recording India's Soundscape. Taking some awesome recordings from the largest hand washing business on earth in the city of Mumbai. Then the singing children and incredibly grumpy camels living in the Indian desert.
In 2016 I began to put the album together. The album reflects my journey and inner thoughts as I transitioned from south to north. I have tried to reflect the different sides of the country which I experienced: Chaos, peril, innocence, grace, harmony and romance.
With special thanks to Brieana Turner for letting me turn her flat into a studio, Will Parker, for his invaluable input & to everyone I met during my time in India - An adventure of truly magnificent proportion, sleeping beneath the stars in the desert, the Bollywood acting fiasco & all the clichè hippy shit in between, it was brilliant.
