THE NEW ZAWOSE SPIRIT GROUP

A new interface and restructuration of the largest Zawose musical family “Chibite Group” performed by all Zawose family members.

The idea came after many requests and suggestions made by various musical stake holders to meet the need and standard of the international music market.

The purpose is also to pay a continuous tribute to their master and revered Patriarch Dr Hukwe Ubi Zawose who died suddenly in 2003.
Before he passed away projects were on their way,
It laid the foundation of the Zawose musical dynasty in the world.

The traditional Tanzania Swahili and Gogo music and dances were promoted all over the world thanks to the masters Dr Hukwe Ubi Zawose and Charles Ubi Zawose.

A new bridge gathering the past generation and the present generation to the large family of musicians from Eastern Africa.

“The Zawose Family” THE NEW ZAWOSE SPIRIT GROUP delivers a unique style.

This style combines traditional Gogo music and contemporary Gogo Style music and Gogo Style dances with powerful messages sung in Swahili and Gogo languages accompanied by various traditional instruments.

THE NEW ZAWOSE SPIRIT GROUP HAS A MISSION:

- To preserve and sustain the legacy of their masters Dr Hukwe Ubi Zawose and Charles Ubi Zawose chief of the Zawose dynasty.

- To deliver a high quality of live performances of traditional songs and dances from Swahili and Gogo tribes.

- To continue collaborating with the government and their different institutions in order to promote Peace, Unity and Stability in the Union of Tanzania.

- To continue honoring the work and the fundament of the founder of the Zawose dynasty.
