tectonic by slowdanger / Jasmine Hearn
tectonic is the single from slowdanger and Jasmine Hearn's EchoLocation. This track is part of a stitched together garment of sound and video material that has been retrieved from our collective archive—a collection of photos, videos, text, songs, and sounds. It tracks our paths—artistic and social, imagined and real. This garment carries a series of artifacts, calls and keys sent forth across time to past, present and future selves. EchoLocation is a collection of live composition recordings by Jasmine Hearn, taylor knight and anna thompson. All tracks were recorded on site at SILO Kirkland Farms in 2018.

taylor knight and anna thompson are Co-Artistic Directors of slowdanger, a queer and non-binary multidisciplinary performance entity based in Pittsburgh PA. They fuse sound/movement through experimental frameworks. The more they engage in this collaborative work, the more they recognize the manifestation of their work as a non-binary entity that is one body amassed of multiple bodies in space.
