Non-Sequitur by Slow Robot

Non-Sequitur was written as part of the 2023 RPM Challenge (write and record an entire 10-song album in the month of February).

I prompted friends for song ideas, which ended up being the basis for more than half of the tracks. I ended up with some interesting lyrics I never would have come up with on my own, even if I didn't quite take them exactly where my friends had intended.

Being in such a time-crunch, attention to detail flew pretty much straight out the window, and a lot of stuff that would normally end up on the proverbial cutting room floor got developed. The result is some of the strongest music I've come up with, and perhaps some of the weakest--but either way, it was worth it.
