Adirondack Remixed by Speak, Memory

Adirondack, the Bartees Strange-mixed EP by Oklahoma band Speak, Memory, will see a rerelease. Adirondack Remixed will feature the original recordings along with new remixes of each track. The remixes by Bronte (Lennon from Mad Honey), Young Weather (Dustin Ragland), and Buzzcut (Josh Hogsett/Tallows) breathe new life into these songs three years after the original release.

Originally recorded live over three days in early December 2019, Adirondack’s songs are expansive as the mountain range it was named after. The remixes offer a fresh and adventurous reimagining, pushing the tracks in exciting new directions.

The songs were written prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, having already seemingly found peace with the isolation those times forced upon us. In a world that looks to destroy us every day, Speak, Memory’s latest project is a calm victory, a breath of fresh air after barreling past impossible circumstances, with its three songs capturing the ambitiousness those words imply and so much more, conjuring hope amid uncertain times.

The remix EP will be available digitally and on limited-edition cassette 5/21/24 via Clerestory AV.
