Contact Improvisation dance floors are at the fringes of culture – but where they prosper, there are strange exhilarations: less bounded expression and a kind of fluid intimacy.
Contact dancers move imaginatively, to whichever sounds they hear – sometimes also drifting to permutations of silence.
Taking journeys of sensation far into the realm of touch, all the better to feel.
This collection of songs evokes the delicacies of contact. Some we hope might directly soundtrack your motion, others just pay crooked homage to a culture that conjures.
This is a study into certain ideas about movement and people. Nothing is expected, nothing confirmed.
