“Yesterday a Black man was lynched” This daily thought became the impetus for my latest, and definitely most heartfelt, work entitled “Black”. After seven solo projects, my approach to this one was completely different from the inspiration to my recording process. I conceptualized, wrote, and recorded everything first, and then decided on my features. Another distinguishing factor is the narration done by one of my favorite fathers and thinkers, my brother, Jamal Robinson. All 6 beats were produced by ReppaTon & recorded at MindOfaHustlerENT studio. The first release from the project, Burn, sets the mood, vibe, and mentality. I want you to ride with me as I reflect on the year thus far. My hope is for you to enjoy this project, and that it does something for you.
