Over 2024 I spent my first year of retirement in the recording of old songs, new songs, and what might presumptuously be called "live favourites". This is the first fruits of those sessions. More to follow in the new year.

When his band, The Strait, split in 1983, Steve Temple kept the name and went solo. Inspired by Billy Bragg, dreams of being a Christian singer-songwriter were stymied by lack of skill and a voice that could only be described. Lately, more wit crept into his lyrics and later songs have been largely humorous with touches of the spiritual. Time with The Prudent Moves brought out his rockier side.
