October Songs by Stray Ghost // Anthony Baden Saggers

I am very proud of this album and feel that it represents a step forward in my development.
Aside from the first piece "Our Own Private Language", the majority of the album is influenced by the horrors of war and persecution in the 20th Century.
Radnoti I & II are named for Hungarian poet Miklos Radnoti, who was tragically murdered in the Holocaust.
Track 5 is dedicated to Sofio Chabashvili.
The last piece of music "Some Desperate Glory" takes its name from a Wilfred Owen poem, and is based upon the image of fresh, newly recruited and trained soldiers marching towards what is quite definitely not "Glory", and was envisaged as a requiem for the First World War.

Stray Ghost was the artist name of the English composer Anthony Baden Saggers.
He has released music through the record labels Phases, 1631, Hidden Shoal, Time Released Sound, Analogpath, Highpoint Lowlife, Dead Pilot (sleep tight) and Phantom Channel.
