Olympus by Stray Gods

Only a year after their debut "Storm The Walls" that was more often than not, compared to the whole post-00's discography of Iron Maiden, Stray Gods, return with another anthemic release that will excite all NWOBHM, Iron Maiden and Power Metal fans around the world, "Olympus"

In the words of the band's main man, Bob Katsionis:
"Following Stray Gods' debut live show at the Up The Hammers Festival in Athens, I recognized the band's potential for longevity beyond my personal affinity for Iron Maiden. The exceptional chemistry between the band members and the positive reviews comparing our debut album to Maiden's discography instilled a new level of confidence in me. As a result, I began composing music without any creative constraints, focusing solely on writing exceptional songs that could be performed by any band I've been a member of. This creative freedom gave rise to "Olympus," an album that I am immensely proud of, with the title track standing out as my finest composition so far. While all the band members played a crucial role in shaping the album's sound, Artur's vocal performance was particularly noteworthy.
Additionally, Easter Eggs from Maiden's 1986-1992 era are sprinkled throughout the album, adding an element of enjoyment for fans with "the gift of the Second Sight" (!) Despite initial hesitation from the press, the album received a warm welcome, and industry professionals and friends praised Stray Gods for having a distinct sound despite its similarity to Maiden. Finally, the album cover features an illustration by German artist Uwe Jarling, depicting an 80's guitarist on a trek up Mount Olympus, where he has a spiritual encounter with the twelve gods themselves".

Stray Gods return with another masterpiece! This time,the Greek band led by their Portuguese singer Artur Almeida not only pays a tribute to the 86-92 era of the British Legends, but also start finding their own path and distinctive sound leading them to new heights, like the ones of "Olympus"!
