VINEGAR by Suzanne de Bussac
VINEGAR: A sour tasting liquid containing acetic acid, obtained by fermenting dilute alcoholic liquids, and used as a condiment or for pickling; Sourness or peevishness of behaviour, character, or speech.
Singer and multi-instrumentalist Suzanne de Bussac has released her new EP, Vinegar, which is part of a series of four EPs representing different emotions she experienced during a difficult family crisis featuring Toronto-based Kurt Swinghammer (guitar), Don Kerr (drums), and Kevin LaCroix (bass) and background vocalist Michelle Baker. The EPs will culminate in a full album called Liquids, set to be released in late 2025.
Vinegar features spirited music with dark lyrics reflecting Suzanne's emotions during a challenging divorce, battles within the mental health system, and personal losses. Produced by Dean Drouillard, the EP combines blues, alternative, jazz, and world music with the help of a talented band based in Toronto.
Suzanne's musical journey started with piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music, leading to a successful career in the music industry. Her second album, Shiver Stories, received recognition at various festivals and contests. Through her music, Suzanne aims to promote healing, coping, and human connection.
