Depth Disco by System 7

Depth Disco was a stand-alone System 7 track originally made in 1991. In some ways it’s seen as a template for System 7 sound, as it developed through the years that followed.

Track 1 is the Original Extended Mix, that has been transparently remastered to bring it closer to current levels.

Track 2 is a live recording of the live version of Depth Disco that we first developed for the 1993 Megadog tours. The recording is from our first ever show in Japan, at Shibuya On-Air in Tokyo in May 1994. This was the start of the long and beautiful relationship System 7 has enjoyed with Japan, for which we recently celebrated the 30th anniversary, with another Japanese tour.

Track 3 Big Summit is a track from our recent album Café Seven. The track was inspired by the Native American ceremonies held for the 2017 Solar Eclipse at the Oregon Eclipse Festival. It employs several of the sounds from Depth Disco, including the Native American vocal chant.

Track 4 is the Original Extended Mix, with no re-mastering. This might be appreciated by some of you who want a digital version of the track as it was in 1991.
