Ripples by Taste The Lemon
"Everything is so fragile and shaky, my feet and the ground they stand on... and all the solid things, the stone pillars, the concrete walls, the streets and the shops... and your love, suddenly have an aura of the unreal," goes the lyrics, which are also inspired by Virginia Woolf's The Waves.
Darker, more raw passages are interspersed with almost pop choruses in which even doubt and uncertainty become a natural part of any budding intimacy. The introverted, subtle speech of the band's frontwoman Tereza Karásková adds intensity to the song and the video. "The whole song is about the longing for closeness and the fear of vulnerability that comes with every intimacy. Even shooting the video was very close up, it was a strange experience to let the camera in like that and get the emotion and mood of the song out without singing or standing on stage," says Tereza.
